Where it started

I joined the build of a platform I had designed a month earlier, which turned the usual handoff argument into a short conversation with myself.

What I did

Built the component layer in React with hooks and local state, styled with Tailwind against the tokens from the design file.
Wrote CRUD routes in Express with Mongoose schemas, and tested each one in Postman and Thunder Client before wiring the UI.
Handled loading, empty and error states as part of the component rather than as an afterthought.
Worked in Git and GitHub with the team through review, debugging and deployment on Vercel and Render.

What changed

The API changed shape three times during the sprint. Because responses were normalised in one module, each change was an edit in one file, not a hunt through the tree.
